Primary Purpose As the Senior IT System Administrator you will be responsible for managing, maintaining and securing our systems and network at USS. Essential Functions Manage, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud infrastructure (e.g., Nutanix, Azure). Ensure high availability, performance, and security of on-premises and cloud systems. Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and proactively implement solutions. Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python). Implement and manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity strategies. Lead infrastructure projects and system upgrades with minimal downtime. Maintain and enforce system security policies, including patch management, firewall configurations, and access controls. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and infrastructure needs. Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Mentor junior administrators and provide technical guidance. Perform other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications Preferred 4 year bachelor's Degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field Experience with Nutanix and Azure. Experience with Powershell and Python. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
