Support various databases – Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Sybase IQ, AWS Redshift & RDS, NoSQL. Functions: + Database administration includes database design, software installations, creation and upgrades, replication, backup and recovery, scripting, and performance monitoring. + Set up and monitor DR and Data Guard solutions to reduce the recovery time at the standby site to minimize data loss in case of a disaster. This includes maintaining database service levels and availability goals, and database monitoring. + Manage databases on Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and RDS. + Install/upgrade/configure SQL Server 2012 - 2017 and Oracle 11g, 12c and 19c. + Performance tuning. + Scripting and automation. + Manage and prioritize multiple work streams across different projects and business units. + Work with CI/CD tools to deliver Infrastructure as code – Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Git, Nexus. REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or foreign equivalent, plus 5 years of experience as a System Administrator. Experience must include 5 years performance tuning, scripting and automation, administer multiple RDBMS platforms like Oracle, myspql, PostgreSQL, SQL server; managed CI/CD tools such as bibucket, Jenkins, udeploy, and Nexus; administer SQL server 2012, 2016, and 2017; Automated DBA tasks with shell scripting and Python to enhance efficiency; Data Guard and Active Data Guard; Experience may be gained concurrently.
