PetSmart is looking for a Sr. IT Project Manager / Scrum Master (PM/SM) in the Data Technology organization to provide leadership and direction in the development of data solutions that support business strategies. The role will be accountable for working with cross-functional teams to implement and deliver solutions across customer and business facing product and platform teams. The Sr. IT PM/SM is accountable for ensuring organized, predictable, and managed change. As a key player in our technology team, you will: Lead and drive complex, cross-functional projects that impact the entire enterprise. Work with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions aligned with our technology strategy. Ensure predictable, organized, and managed change across customer and business-facing platforms. Utilize your strong leadership skills to foster a culture of collaboration, trust, and innovation. Responsibilities: Project Management: Participate in early forecasting of staffing and effort for new initiatives. Lead project meetings and manage scope, schedule, and communication. Anticipate risks, develop contingency plans, and overcome roadblocks. Guide the development of sustainable solutions that meet both immediate needs and future strategies. Accountable for scope, schedule, and communication management Manage day-to-day budget; manage contracts/SOWs, coordinate expenditures and partner to analyst variances Team Leadership: Lead and motivate teams to deliver exceptional results. Collaborate and consult with IT leaders and stakeholders. Develop strong vendor relationships to support project delivery. Adapt to changing priorities, demands, and timelines. Encourage diverse perspectives to drive improvement and innovation. QUALIFICATIONS 5-8+ years of experience with industry standard retail applications, or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience leading data teams with focus on cloud technologies, business intelligence, analytics, solution design, and production support 5-8+ years of experience managing projects using Agile Scrum methodology Leadership abilities such as focused problem-solving skills, proven partnering/relationship fostering, etc. Focused budget management, resource management, risk identification, mitigation and issue troubleshooting skills Proficient in project management discipline and tools such as Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence.
