Senior Investment Associate

Join our Portfolio Advisory team serving ultra-high-net-worth clients. As a Senior Investment Associate, you’ll play a key role in delivering proactive, high-touch investment support and client service. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional with a strong foundation in investments and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare timely and accurate portfolio reviews and market outlook materials.Communicate directly with clients and internal partners on behalf of Portfolio Advisors.Develop expertise in Northern Trust’s investment philosophy, platform, and tools—including Goals Driven Wealth Management.Support investment planning and modeling; provide technical guidance to the team.Monitor market trends and share relevant insights with advisors.Manage compliance-related tasks and follow-ups.Contribute to special projects and team initiatives.

Qualifications

Solid understanding of financial markets, investment products, and portfolio construction.Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication skills; able to simplify complex concepts.Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charting).

Experience

3+ years in financial services or relevant experience.Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or related field is preferredPreference towards candidates pursuing a CFA, CFP, or other professional designation.
