Sr Information Operations Planner

Leidos National Security Sector (NSS) is seeking a highly experienced and skilled mission-driven Sr. Information Operations Planner to support APOLLO/OPIAS. The Sr. IO Planner will lead, direct, and oversee the integration of Information Forces (IRCs) into strategic and operational planning, and mission execution as part of Operations in the Information Environment (OIE). This role advises command staff, manages OIE strategy development, and ensures alignment with operational objectives and policy directives. This position is on a future contract pending award announcement.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide command-level leadership for OIE planning and execution.

Serve as a senior advisor to commanders on integrating Information Forces (IRCs) into strategic, operational, and tactical operations.

Lead planning and synchronization of capabilities such as SAP/STO, Civil Affairs, Public Affairs, MISO, EW, MILDEC, OPSEC, and Cyber.

Oversee development and implementation of OIE campaign plans, assessment frameworks, and policy recommendations.

Engage senior leadership, interagency counterparts, and international partners on OIE coordination and guidance.

Recommend adjustments to command structures, force design, or policy to enhance OIE effectiveness.

Supervise and mentor OIE staff across multiple commands and task forces.

Represent OIE equities in joint planning groups, command-level briefings, and interagency forums.

Maintain awareness of current technologies and best practices across OIE.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Military Art, Strategic Studies, or related field and 8+ years of related experience

Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in IO planning at the Joint or Combatant Command level.

Commissioned officer, Senior NCO, or senior civilian with equivalent rank/responsibility and experience

FA30 qualification or 14F (Airforce Information Operations Officer)  or 0510/0520/0530 (MAGTF IO Officer and Planner series) or  equivalent military specialty with demonstrated operational IO leadership

In-depth knowledge of JOPP, campaign planning, and joint doctrine

U.S. Citizen with a current passport

Active TS/SCI security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s in Military Art, Strategic Studies, or related field

Graduate of JIOPC, Joint Cyber Ops Planner Course, or MILDEC Planner Course

Experience leading cross-functional or interagency teams in a high-tempo environment

Operational leadership experience with OPSEC, MILDEC, Information Force missions

Operational experience supporting the CENTCOM AOR, INDOPACOM or AFRICOM

Familiarity with classified systems, policy development, and strategic communication

Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
