Overview This role is for an Sr. Enterprise Data Platform Architect within the Connected Solutions -Digital & Data Analytics team. The position is essential for developing a flexible, efficient, and scalable enterprise architecture framework. Responsibilities Design and Architecture: Develop and maintain the architecture of data platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. Implementation: Implement data solutions using Microsoft technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Azure API, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI. Integration: Integrate various data sources and ensure seamless data flow across systems. Optimization: Optimize data storage and processing to improve query performance and reduce costs. Security: Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, processes, and best practices. Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor data systems for performance and reliability and perform regular maintenance and updates. Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data technology and proactively propose innovative solutions. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 15+ years overall applicable experience 3+ years of proven experience in data engineering architecture, with a focus on the Microsoft modern stack Programming Languages: Strong skills in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages. Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Project Management: Experience in managing data projects and delivering results within timelines Innovation: Demonstrated ability to innovate and implement cutting-edge data solutions Preferred Qualifications Experience with other cloud platforms and data technologies. Certifications in Microsoft Azure or related technologies. Technical Skills Azure SQL Data Warehouse Azure Synapse Analytics Azure Data Factory Azure Data Lake Azure Analysis Services Databricks/Spark Python or Scala (Python preferred) Data Modeling Power BI (desired) Database migration from legacy systems to new solutions Design of conceptual, logical, and physical data models using tools like ER Studio or Erwin Soft Skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
