We are currently seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to join our team. The Senior Enterprise Architect (EA) is responsible for establishing and maintaining the Nissan Digital Technology Stack (DTS) and associated architectural patterns. As an active member of the Enterprise Review Board (ERB), the EA supports peers within Nissan Digital to solve business problems with digital capabilities and solutions. The EA guides application development teams in building solutions that are well-designed, standards-based, secure, robust, and focused on operational excellence. The EA supports activities related to application development, infrastructure, network, storage, application security, integration, RFI/RFP procurement processes, and data/analytics. Additionally, the EA is familiar with the existing digital landscape to drive decisions regarding reuse, make or buy. The EA possesses knowledge of domain business processes and engages with Solution Architects in other domains for cross-functional solutions. As a senior-level individual contributor, the EA is expected to present technology solutions to business management and executives using language appropriate to the audience.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain contacts within business units and information system programs to understand business activities, drivers, requirements, solution strategies, and alternatives.Provide architectural leadership in resolving inter-program and inter-project issues.Conduct ongoing publicity and communication of the Enterprise Architecture within the information community and business units.Conduct ongoing research and assessment of new analysis approaches for potential use within the Enterprise.Develop and coordinate architecture plans.Stay abreast of current trends and developments in the IT industry.Assist in aligning business and enterprise initiatives with the Enterprise Architecture.Audit compliance with Enterprise Architecture standards.Communicate with business and technology leaders, both within and outside the organization.Influence the organization to accomplish goals and needs through architecture activities.Serve as a technology leader within Nissan Digital, possessing thorough knowledge of various technologies and platforms.Participate in Enterprise Review Board (ERB) architecture review sessions, provide feedback, and approve architecture for all applications across all lines of business.Collaborate with enterprise, solution, and platform architects.Partner with senior/executive IS/IT leaders to layout technology roadmaps and strategies. Establish relationships with IS/IT leaders and technology subject matter experts with excellent verbal and written communication skills appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences.Review and consult on third-party vendor products for technical, architectural, and technological soundness during vendor and product purchasing.Coach and mentor junior enterprise and solution architects. Review their designs to ensure alignment with Nissan’s architecture, legal, compliance, and security standards.Create and maintain reference architecture patterns.Conduct information-sharing sessions (e.g., lunch & learn) with all architects to educate and transfer knowledge within IS/IT.Establish standards and best practices across technologies and platforms.Strategize digital transformation of legacy applications across lines of business.Provide guidance on cloud migrations of applications on data centers.Seek innovative solutions to problems through evaluation and proof of concepts with new and existing technology capabilities to determine compatibility with current and future architectural standards and business requirements.Promote operational excellence through stable, supportable solutions.Architect cross-program and cross-project architecture strategies, opportunities, and problem resolution.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.8+ years of IT experience.4+ years of experience in architecting and building complex systems.Solid familiarity with development best practices to ensure end-to-end fit and design.Strong communication skills, both verbal (e.g., presentations, seminars) and written (e.g., reports, articles), and exceptional interpersonal and relationship skills.Solid group session facilitation skills.Strong skills in complex system design.Solid understanding of cloud, cloud-native, and serverless technologies.Technical breadth and depth across various technical disciplines, technologies, platforms, and tools.Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.Familiarity with method-driven Enterprise Frameworks.Experience with system delivery with full project scopes.Solid understanding of architectural design patterns and best practices to address application, data, and technology in the context of business processes within existing and new architectures and standards.Ability to articulate and document high-level and detailed architectures, system designs, and other architectural artifacts.Expertise in designing highly resilient, scalable, cost-efficient, secure, and maintainable application solutions.Expertise in digital transformation and cloud migration.Understanding of technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualizationProven ability to quickly comprehend, learn, and adopt new technologiesUnderstanding of production support concepts, the importance of application observability/monitoring, and stable, supportable design concepts
