Sr Engineering Test Technician

The Engineering technician will support the design engineering team with project development activities. This includes soldering, testing, programming devices, assembly of devices, etc… Our products include, but not limited to thermostats, Indoor air quality systems & line volt products. **JOB DUTIES:** + Performs and coordinates product validation according to design engineer's direction and/or test procedures, product specifications, and regulatory standards. + Specifies, initiates, and coordinates acquisition of new development equipment as needed. + Independently manages diverse workloads from design engineers and comfortable in escalating conflicting priorities. + Participate in multi-disciplinary teams across many functions including process development + Prepares test reports, analyzes discrepancies, and makes recommendations to design engineers for the product performance. + Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established Resideo Safety requirements to ensure the protection of associates, the public, and the environment. + Takes actions necessary to 'stop' work when an unsafe condition or action is identified. **YOU MUST HAVE:** + 3+ years of hands-on experience in a lab or production environment performing testing, assembly, and troubleshooting of electronic/mechanical components. + Proficiency in using electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, LCR meters, power supplies) and mechanical tools (calipers, micrometers, force gauges, etc.). + Experience with prototype assembly and modification, including SMT component handling and use of microscopes for detailed rework. + Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and relate them to PWAs. + Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal) and proficiency with Office tools for documenting test results. **WE VALUE:** + Knowledge of ESD-safe practices and safe lab procedures. + Experience running experimental/life tests and setting up test configurations from wiring diagrams. + Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and contribute to team-based projects. + Skilled in preparing samples, monitoring instrumentation, collecting/interpreting data, and generating technical reports. + Familiarity with PDM systems and Office 365. + Experience with environmental and stress testing (e.g., lightning, EFT, oscillatory transients). + Proficiency in mechanical prototyping, disassembly, and using shop tools (lathe, CNC, grinders, etc.). + Hands-on experience with 240V line testing, RF testing, and use of thermal chambers. + Advanced soldering/rework skills (0201 and BGA components with SMD systems). + Exposure to 3D printing (FDM, Objet) and post-processing techniques. + Knowledge of programming languages like Python or C++ (Arduino IDE). **WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?** + Benefits that go beyond Mexican labor law, ensuring your well-being and peace of mind. + A collaborative and inclusive work environment where your contributions are valued. + Opportunities for continuous professional growth and skill development through training, mentoring, and challenging projects. + Access to cutting-edge tools, resources, and a supportive team to help you excel. + The chance to work with a global, innovative company shaping the future in its industry. \#LI-JB1 \#LI-ONSITE Resideo is a leading global provider of critical comfort and security solutions primarily in residential environments and distributor of low-voltage electronic and security products.
