Sr Engineer, Firmware Test Automation (12months contract)

Your ‘day to day’

We are currently seeking for a Senior Engineer - Firmware Test Automation to join us for a 12months contract (with possibility of renewal). As part of our firmware testing team, you will:

 

derive detail software test requirement from high level product and feature specifications of consumer electronic devices.control quality of software deliverables (in-house and vendor) according to the defined software quality matrix, ensure software features maturity in engineering development phases and before releasing out.define and implement long-term testing platform, automatic test framework and test cases library, timely automate integration, functional, performance and regression level test cases via close teamwork with automatic test scripts developers.buildup and facilitate test environment, ensure proper test environment and standards, either in-house or at 3rd party.Issue reported clearly in issue tracking system and informing among the project team with highlight block/critical/major issues.Work closely with globally distributed agile team, contribute to projects engineering risk assessments and support for risk mitigation plan.Define and implement long-term testing platforms, automated test frameworks, and test case libraries.Write test script developers to automate integration, functional, performance, and regression tests.Build and maintain test environments that meet internal and third-party standards.Clearly report issues in tracking systems and communicate critical problems to the project team.Work with globally distributed agile teams to support engineering risk assessments and mitigation planning.

 

Who We’re Looking For

University degree in Software, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.5+ years of experience in embedded software development or automated test design for consumer electronics or network products.Strong analytical, systematic, and proactive approach to software testing and verificationHighly Proficiency in C and Python or other scripting languagesExperience with automated test frameworks such as Robot Framework, Gtest, and PytestFamiliarity with platforms like Git, Jenkins, Jira, Test Link, and ConfluencePassion for technical root cause analysis and risk mitigation during design phasesGood written and verbal English communication skills.Knowledge of quality systems and standards (CMM, Agile, IPD, ISO, GB)
