Job DescriptionThe purpose of this Knoxville, TN based job is to design, maintain, and upgrade critical cloud-related infrastructure running on Windows and Unix for the IT organization. This person is expected to have a well-rounded framework of knowledge around the software development lifecycle, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code languages and platforms. This person will also display knowledge around cloud best practices and security.
Manage and execute cloud infrastructure projects to improve the efficiency, availability, and performance of the company’s cloud-hosted systemsDetermine project specifications based on business and user needs, and review pricing options for projects based on current service pricesResearch, Architect, develop, and help implement processes and workloads on AWS and other cloud providersAssist in the resolution of complex performance and availability issuesArchitect and build CICD and Infrastructure as Code for cloud workloadsProvide feedback on issues to appropriate developers and IT team members to improve functionality and performanceMentor and provide guidance to other Cloud Operations team membersModel behaviors that support Pilot Company’s virtues; Driven – Reliable – Authentic - WelcomingEnsure all activities follow rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresComplete other duties as assignedQualificationsWe are seeking applicants with a local presence in Knoxville, TN or the surrounding communities.
