MAU is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer for our client JTEKT in Blythewood, SC. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead and execute technical support initiatives related to electrical engineering systems and equipment. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
Benefits Package 401k 401k Matching Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Short term disability Long term disability Paid vacation Paid holidays Paid time off Opportunity for advancement Relocation bonus Annual Bonus Shift Information Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering 3–5 years of related experience General Requirements Ability to work flexible hours, including potential call-ins Proficiency in developing wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNCs, and data collection systems Familiarity with OSHA specifications and plant safety standards Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Collaboration with IT and maintenance teams Commitment to 5-S, Kaizen, Koyo Production System, TS16949, and ISO14000 initiatives Essential Functions Apply electrical theory to test and modify electrical machinery and control systems Maintain inventory of electrical spare parts Assemble and test motor controls, transformers, and other electrical components Modify programs and logic to improve production efficiency and safety Diagnose and implement solutions for electrical/mechanical malfunctions Monitor and reduce overall plant electrical usage and costs Collaborate with IT to network machines and maintain data systems Ensure equipment complies with OSHA standards Use preventive maintenance systems to identify potential failures Support training and team-building within the maintenance department Create wiring diagrams and oversee routine installation and maintenance Manage plant-wide backups for PLCs, CNC parameters, and machine settings Adjust electrical prototypes to correct deviations Plan and record electrical testing and recommend equipment updates Perform other duties as assigned Working Conditions Approximately 75% in a manufacturing environment and 25% in an office setting Requires PPE including safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection Involves use of a computer and manual dexterity for office equipment Physical Demands Minimal physical demands; involves extended computer use and occasional exposure to manufacturing conditions
