Sr Dir Coding and Clinical Documentation Integrity
Description Location: UCHealth UCHlth Admin Lowry, US:CO:Denver Department: UCHlth Revenue Cycle Administr FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $69.65 - $111.44 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: Directs strategic, growth, and operational objectives in conjunction with organizational strategic plans. Directs and oversees continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing an inter-disciplinary and multi-departmental approach, to achieve quality and superior services. Responsibilities: + Develops and directs strategic, growth, and operational objectives. Integrates services and strategic plan with the mission, vision, and values of UCHealth. + Supports and leads from a process improvement perspective, utilizing benchmarking data to continually achieve higher levels of excellence and cost effectiveness. Maintains staffing as volumes change and works to identify opportunities to modify systems and processes to further improve quality or reduce cost. + Directs and oversees program development, performance management, personnel activities, budget, and the provision of services. + Oversees department operations. Develops and empowers management teams to lead daily operations, resolve issues, manage employee performance, manage physician relations, ensure high quality patient care and service excellence, and ensure operational efficiencies. + Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements: + Bachelor's degree. + Preferred: Master's degree. + 1 certification from the acceptable options: CCDS - Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist, CDIP - Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner, or CCS - Certified Coding Specialist, within 1 year of hire. + 5 years of related experience.
