Sr Crisis Consultant People Care

At Cisco, our People Care Crisis team helps ensure that our people receive the full breadth of Cisco’s resources, care in times of crisis and social unrest. As part of the newly formed team, we are looking for a key member of our team to be an experienced Crisis Consultant.

The crisis team prioritizes supporting both people and the business through meaningful solutions, comprehensive education, continuity, proactive planning and case management on a variety of multifaceted highly sensitive complex case matters involving behavioral/workplace violence prevention, managing personal and large-scale crises, addressing societal discourse matters, and handling mental health cases within the organization. Additionally, the team focuses on the improvement, design and education delivery of global programs managed within the team.

Responsibilities include: Assess, identify risk, manage and recommend strategies for effective resolution within sensitive case management situations. Provide direction, guidance and consultation to internal P&C, Business Unit leaders and cross-functional partners. Address, mediate and resolve conflicts arising from societal issues within the workplace. Work closely with Global ER, P&C peers, Employee Legal, Social Impact team and other cross-functional team members and partners. Communicate with all levels of the enterprise, including executive management. Research and apply global requirements as they relate to employment-related case management, programs, policies, tools, and processes. Lead key initiative and service offering in the improvement, design and education delivery of global programs managed within the team. Acts as a resource, mentor for colleagues with less experience, providing guidance and training. Who You Are:

An experienced Human Resources (HR) professional with an investigations, crisis response and problem solving background ready to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills: Firm knowledge of employment country, state and or federal laws. Solid understanding of workplace violence prevention strategies, mental health issues, and crisis response planning/delivery. Skilled at crisis intervention techniques, ability to identify and employ strategies to de-escalate tense situations. Excellent communication both oral and written, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills. Emotional intelligence, enhanced empathy and compassion. Emotional resilience – ability to maintain composure and stability in high-stress scenarios bringing others there with you. Exercise excellent problem-solving abilities, solid judgment and ownership of the decision-making process. Extensive use of leadership, influence skills as well as balanced objectivity in collaborating, supporting strategic objectives and ability to influence all levels of management. Resourcefulness, ability to identify issues recommend new and innovative approaches to respond. Skilled in cultural competency, respect and understand diverse cultural perspectives and practices. Conflict resolution and mediation. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and lead projects or programs within a function Excellent presentation/training delivery. Ability to work independently with confidence. Ability to respond quickly and effectively to a variety of challenging situations. Excellent with multi-tasking and managing steady case volume. Exude calmness under high pressure fast paced environment. Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS or equivalent work experience in Human Resource Management or Crisis Management 6-8 years HR Generalist, Employee Relations or Crisis response experience preferred HR Certification recommended Global experience a plus Why Cisco?
