ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior CRA and Fair Banking Analyst assists in the administration of all aspects of the CRA and Fair Banking program. This position will maintain the CRA LAR and other data requirements, perform peer and regulatory research, and contribute content to Bank-wide training programs. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing data for HMDA, CRA, and Fair Lending requirements and will manage data gathering, documentation, analysis, reporting and recommendation in a manner that supports MVB Bank’s commitment to our communities and equitable access to resources
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Manage automated and manual import and reconciliation of all mortgage, small business, Community Development, Community Investment, and Services data into appropriate software Validate data, and CRA eligibility, certifying for accuracy and sufficient documentation by government agencies Research and clarify presented data as needed, communicating with team members and third party sources Lead the submission of data in advance of regulatory deadlines Provide cross-departmental support: provide training, relay bank trend analysis and regulatory priorities, provide consultation on procedure development, reinforce communication of the bank’s standards, provide resources, and answers questions related to Fair Banking and CRA; Where appropriate, refer queries to CRA and Fair Lending Officer Analyze bank performance, escalating issues to supervisor or senior management, making recommendations for appropriate corrective action, as necessary Prepare reports for internal and external teams and bank leadership, detailing the Bank’s current performance regarding the distribution of financial products, investments, and services Contribute to the CRA and Fair Banking Programs, including the development of policies and procedures, risk assessments, risk monitoring and information systems, internal controls, self-assessments, presentations, education, and exam preparation Conduct peer, demographic, and economic research to support the completion of CRA performance context and examination using software and publicly available documents Monitor and perform Fair Lending analysis and report trends to CRA Fair Lending Officer Maintain expertise and awareness of developing regulatory trends and actions Comply with state and federal regulations, laws and rules relating to Fair Lending and CRA, including but not limited to HMDA, ECOA, UDAAP, FHA, Section 1071 of the Dodd Frank Act Cultivate opportunities for community development lending, services, and investment opportunities in the assessment area and monitor impact Maintain and build relationships with local small business support organizations, nonprofits, and community development entities Champion the bank’s CRA initiatives Participate in various committees and working groups as assigned Work will occasionally require travel to MVB Bank Branches and Centers and/or to meet with community groups, attend outside conferences and presentations; May require limited travel (up to 20%)EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 5+ years in CRA and/or Fair Banking Minimum 5+ years data analysis experience Preferred experience with CRA and Fair Banking Softwares: Jack Henry, Abrigo, Kadince, and Risk Exec or comparable CRA/Fair Lending Software systems Well-developed research, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills in working with people and developing relationships Highly motivated self-starter, who can work autonomously with minimal supervision Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple assignments, maintain regularly scheduled tasks, keep commitments and meet deadlines Demonstrated commitment to service, organization values, and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor always Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) is required, Power BI experience is beneficial
