About the Role & Team
Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for company-wide operating and capital planning, quarterly and annual earnings and cash flow forecasting, annual operating plans and five-year plans, review of all major capital projects, monitoring of segment/business unit operating performance, direct finance support of corporate departments and various special projects. The group is also charged with developing presentations to corporate senior management and the Board of Directors regarding company financial performance.
What You Will Do
This Senior Financial Analyst will support Enterprise Technology by preparing and presenting analysis directly to top finance and operational executives. The role requires ability to multi-task across numerous deliverables
Responsibilities:
Management of quarter close, Annual Operating Plan, Five Year Plan, and forecastsPrepare quarterly forecasts, annual operating plan (AOP) and 5-year plan, and present to Technology leaders through formal PowerPoint deck presentationOversee and assist with quarterly financial close process between Tech partners and AccountingReview actuals compared to forecast/plan and deliver clear and concise variance explanations that identify root causesPerform analytics on financial statements and explain key driversUnderstand key drivers of financial forecast process and how these drivers impact accounting closePrepare and maintain budgeting, forecasting and cost trending analyses for assigned client, including consolidation of organization financials and overall labor planMake recommendations to management and clients on opportunities to operate efficiently and provide cost impact of alternative scenariosFinancial analysis and support for key strategic initiatives; including NPV Analysis and program cost trackingProvide support to operations to ensure appropriate account codingOversee ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned; demonstrate an understanding of project management methodologyBecome a valued finance partner for the Technology team and build professional and ethical relationships across all teamsRequired Qualifications & Skills
2+ years of experienceBudgeting and forecasting experienceAbility to develop comprehensive/complex financial analysis with limited guidanceDetail oriented and organizedStrong project and time management skillsOutstanding communication skills (written and oral)A highly professional "client service orientation"Ability to multi-task and deploy resources efficientlyDemonstrates ability to quickly grasp and apply new concepts and processesAdvanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP & COGNOS strongly preferredPreferred Skills:
Background in the media and entertainment industry is a plus, but is not requiredTechnology Finance experience a plusFinancial Systems Tools preferred – SAP, Cognos, Adaptive Planning, etc.Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or AccountingCPA preferredProgressive finance or accounting experience, industry experience preferredThe hiring range for this position in Burbank, California is $103,400.00 to $126,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
