Position Overview

Insulet is building an exciting greenfield business services organization, with the major hub in Guadalajara. We are implementing a full range of services in Finance and IT, and are seeking a highly experienced Travel and Expenses Technical Support Lead, with a strong background in SAP Concur and the Apzen expense auditing tool to support global operations within the Travel & Expense domain. This role is accountable for delivering advanced technical support, driving system integrations, supporting special project rollouts (e.g., new country go-lives), maintaining configuration governance, and enabling platform innovation through custom solutions. The role will work as part of our IT Operations team, supporting initiatives across the Finance function. The role will drive the end user and AP teams' support as part of the day-to-day service and help with the improvements and service evolution agenda for live services. The person will work alongside the relevant operational teams to optimize performance, enhance automation, and enable scalable, efficient operations.

Responsibilities

Technical Platform Management

Oversee and continuously improve integration processes (e.g., SAP FI, payroll, T&E cards, HRMS)Support and build reporting capabilities based on business requests and requirements, part of which includes ensuring data validation & reconciliation.Manage exception handling across the platform (e.g., failed data loads, stuck workflows, policy breach errors).Define and maintain escalation paths for incidents raised by end users or T&E service operators.Perform complex business and systems analysis work; conduct requirements gathering/analysis via information gathering sessions with business users and technical staff. Develop supporting process flows.Proactive management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical analysis of the platforms.Evaluate and recommend changes to meet current and future business, and regulatory compliance needs across Insulet’s ever-expanding global footprint.Assist in the evaluation of third-party tools for feasibility and impact to the business.Create and maintain business requirement documentation which can include use cases, process flows, and system interface diagrams.Develop comprehensive test plans with users, coordinate test activities and/or help execute test components.Develop and perform training for Business Process Owners and Subject Matter Experts as necessary.Create Functional Design Documents in a clear and concise manner to facilitate custom development.

System Configuration & Lifecycle Support

Contribute to the development and release cycle for workflows, audit rules, update expense policies in the tool, and approver hierarchies.Collaborate with internal IT and external vendors to manage platform upgrades and regression testing.Ensure documentation and audit traceability of configuration changes.

Custom Solutions & Reporting

Design and implement custom scripts, APIs, reports, and dashboard solutions tailored to internal stakeholder needs.Provide subject matter expertise to enable automation, enhance compliance, and reduce manual intervention.Responsible for providing data expertise and consulting related to operational reporting and analytics.

Special Projects & Country Enablement

Lead technical design and configuration of new country rollouts for Concur, ensuring alignment with local legal, tax, and business requirements.Partner with regional teams and program leads to manage deployment timelines, testing phases (UAT), and post-go-live stabilization.

Platform Governance & Support Escalation

Act as L1/L2 support for technical issues and liaise with L3 and external vendors for high-complexity items.Collaborate with Concur / Apzen vendor support for issue resolution and feature enhancement requests.Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings for release impact assessments.

Skills/Competencies:

Must have the ability to express strategy, technical knowledge, and processes in easily understood presentations.Positive, results driven, rational, logical, team player.Ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.Ability to work independently & on multiple projects against deadlines.Experience in the healthcare, pharma or medical device industry a plus.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 6-8 years of experience supporting SAP Concur Expense and/or Request modules; Apzen experience is a strong plus.Deep understanding of Concur configuration architecture, workflow logic, and policy enforcement mechanisms.Proven expertise in system integrations (preferably with SAP FI/CO, S/4HANA, Workday, TMCs, or credit card providers).Familiarity with API development, scripting languages (JavaScript/XML), and custom report creation.Strong experience with global deployment projects and complex multi-region platform support.Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
