Position Summary:
As an Engineer of Component Engineering, you will help introduce and maintain the component database that is optimal for Advanced Energy products from technology, supply and a total life cycle perspective to support our design engineers and commodity managers on product development and maintenance. Take a pro-active role in ensuring that components used are high quality, reliable, and cost effective for implementing to the projects. Your primary focus will contribute to data-related transformation initiatives and support of the component commodity analysis development.
Responsibilites:
Manage of component database and prepare related department reports To develop data and analytics strategies and perform data analysis including data mining, collection, consolidation, analyze, and provide solutions as well as analysis reports. The use of data platforms and analytical solutions to integrate, analyze and visualize from the structured and unstructured data and providing fact-based insights that identify opportunities to improve component commodity management Work with design teams and component suppliers to support the component selection process and avoid problematic or concerned components at NPI stage. Assist on monthly BOM review of the multi-source compliance and highlight potential materials risk for mitigations from NPI projects. Interface with suppliers on technology roadmaps and coordinate with global design for product development.
Qualifications:
Degree in Electronics, Power Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines. 8 years relevant experience Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint. Familiar with Power BI would be definitely advantage Basic component knowledge of active/passive/electromech Self-motivated, strong analytical and problem solving skills A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques Good command of English and Mandarin. Candidate with less experience or fresh graduate will also be considered as junior position
