Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.  This position will be responsible for our cement plant quarry in Union Bridge, MD, our largest cement plant in the Northeast.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead safe and efficient quarry operations aligned with company and regulatory standardsDrive continuous improvement in production, quality, and cost controlCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support plant performance and sustainability goalsManage and develop quarry personnel through coaching and performance feedback in union environmentOversee equipment maintenance planning and long-term mine planning strategies

What Are We Looking For

Proven ability to lead teams and foster a culture of safety and accountabilityStrong knowledge of quarry operations (cement preferred), mining regulations, and environmental complianceSkilled in data-driven decision-making and operational optimizationEffective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departmentsCompetent in using technology and systems to manage operations and reportingBasic knowledge of chemistry

Work Environment
This role is based at a cement plant and quarry site, requiring regular exposure to outdoor conditions, dust, noise, and large mobile equipment. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and required.
