Sr Appl/Sys Sales Engineer Sr Appl/Sys Sales Engineer for UOP LLC in Rosemont, IL Responsibilities: Drive the technical execution of assigned opportunities through developing value propositions and the business case for specific opportunities, including technical designs, technical input on strategy for sales events, technical appendices, and preparation and delivery of technical sales presentations in customer meetings, resulting in successful sales. Participate in customer discussions for assigned opportunities to gain an understanding of customer drivers. Reflect on and share learnings from every engagement with other team members to ensure improved technical strategies worldwide in all future opportunities. Contribute to the global team by looking for opportunities and making suggestions to improve our internal tools and processes so we can become our best. Get the analytical requirements for product and feed analysis of Naphtha for customers. GC analysis of Naphtha and interpret the results. Analyze naphtha for the presence of impurities. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Location: Rosemont, IL 40 hours/week Employee Referral Fee: $1500 If offered employment must have legal right to work in U.S. EOE. YOU MUST HAVE: Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering and 5 years of experience working as a scientist and performing tests using Chromatography methods. Must have 2 years of experience with the following: ability to perform analysis of Naphtha feed to a reforming and Isomerization unit; experience analyzing results of Naphtha impurity testing and feed characterization; understanding of various operating parameters and variables that impact the performance of a reforming and Isomerization unit; business acumen to prepare value propositions that unlock value for our customers in innovative ways and drive business growth for LST Naphtha Technologies; ability to see the bigger picture of various refinery processes; coordinate and work with the Research and Development (R&D) team on coordination for Pilot Plant (PP) studies to support customer projects; and understanding of the approval process for technical offers.
