Overview: Information Technology Experiences (One Tech) organization is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Office of Data Science and Automation (ODSA) within the Data, Analytics, and Data Science department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative data science and machine learning solutions that optimize EV battery manufacturing processes. As a technical leader, you will design advanced ML models, drive data-driven insights, and enable predictive and prescriptive capabilities to transform battery production efficiency, quality, and reliability.
Location: This role will be on-site at our client’s location in Plano, TX. In addition, employees who live within 40 km (25 miles) of a DXC office are required to work onsite at least two days per week.
What You’ll Do
Develop and deliver ML solutions focused on EV battery manufacturing, including predictive modeling, process optimization, and anomaly detection.Partner with other team members to identify high-value opportunities where data science can reduce costs, improve yield, and enhance product quality.Design and deploy large-scale AI/ML models, leveraging cloud-based architectures and big data platforms for scalability and performance.Ensure best practices in the whole machine learning lifecycle—data preparation, model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring.Promote innovation by exploring emerging AI technologies applicable to EV battery and automotive manufacturing.What You Bring
Master’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.5+ years of experience developing and deploying data-driven predictive analytics, machine learning, or AI solutions in production environments.Strong background in supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms and applied statistical modeling.Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and experience with distributed computing frameworks.Knowledge of the machine learning development lifecycle in mission-critical or industrial environments.Experience in data processing, feature engineering, and database query languages.Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.Industry experience in automotive, EV, or battery manufacturing.Familiarity with battery production processes and data sources (e.g., electrode manufacturing, cell assembly, formation).Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern MLOps frameworks.Collaboration with data architecture and platform engineering teams for large-scale ML deployment.At DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
