Job Description:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Mathematics or relevant field of studyCCP or CEP preferred

Work Experiences:

4+ years of compensation experience or combination of relevant work experienceExecutive and Equity compensation experience preferred

Skills:

Experience conducting job evaluations, documenting, and leveling positionsExperience developing and maintaining job descriptionsExperience developing, implementing, and administering compensation policies and programsExperience analyzing and reviewing pay practices to ensure internal equityExperience conducting market research and salary surveysGeneral understanding of key laws and processes related to the Human Resources functionStrong analytical and technical skills, with proven ability to data mine and summarize data from disparate informationStrong business writing skillsStrong interpersonal and customer service skills, understands and actively manages expectationsWillingness to jump in and help the team in all areasHighly detailed orientedTakes the initiative and proactively seeks solutionsWell-developed ability of prioritizationAdvanced Excel skills - ability to write VBA a plusStrong Microsoft office skills, in particular Access, Word, and PowerPointMaintain confidential informationStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with individuals at various levelsAcceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties

Responsibilities:

Evaluate and analyze salary data and jobs for market and internal competitiveness then consult with business partners to form an action plan balancing business need and company philosophyAdminister multiple compensation programsReview, recommend, approve, and communicate compensation related transactionsExecutes calculations for company short-term incentive plansResearch and maintain knowledge of state and federal laws regarding compensation activities; ensure Academy’s compliance; download the information for the compensation teamConsult with business partners to create and maintain job descriptions and matrices that align with company structure and business needRecommend, review and analyze current and proposed compensation programs, policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance as well as project potential costCreate and prepare reports and presentations that support the department and organizationCreate reporting on compensation related metricsProactively drive compensation surveys for his\her area of responsibilityExecute RFI or RFP process as neededDevelop a thorough understanding of Academy’s policies, procedures and safety rulesDuties may change; team member may be required to perform other duties as assigned
