Sr Analyst – Global Trade Compliance – Classification
**Job Summary** The Sr Analyst - Classification is responsible for the accurate and timely classification of medical devices, pharmaceutical products, and related goods in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines, including the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and other relevant resources. This role also involves conducting Country of Origin Determinations, assisting with Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and special program eligibility assessments and applicable PGA determinations. The Sr Analyst - Classification will collaborate with multiple teams and departments to ensure compliance and optimize trade operations. Cross training will be required to provide coverage during peak periods and special projects. **Responsibilities** + Classify medical devices, pharmaceutical products, and related goods using the HTS and other applicable classification systems. + Maintain up-to-date knowledge of classification rulings, regulations, and industry trends. + Prepare and submit binding ruling requests to relevant customs authorities as needed. + Conduct Country of Origin Determinations based on established rules and regulations. + Support Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and special program eligibility assessments, including documentation review and compliance verification. + Collaborate with sourcing, procurement, engineering, and other departments to gather product information and ensure accurate classification. + Work with import/export teams to ensure correct classification is used on import/export documentation. + Assist with internal audits and compliance reviews related to classification and origin. + Develop and deliver training materials on classification and origin topics to internal stakeholders. + Identify and implement process improvements to enhance classification accuracy and efficiency. + Maintain classification databases and documentation. + Provide coverage and support to other team members during high-volume periods or special projects, including cross-training in other areas of trade compliance. **Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a scientific field related to medical devices or pharmaceuticals) preferred + 2+ years of experience in classification within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry preferred + Customs Broker's license or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) certification preferred. + In-depth knowledge of the HTS, General Rules of Interpretation (GRIs), and other relevant classification principles. + Must be familiar with PGA (Partner Government Agencies) and related tasks + Experience with Country of Origin Determinations and FTA eligibility requirements. + Familiarity with medical device and pharmaceutical regulations (e.g., FDA requirements) is a plus. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). + Experience with trade compliance software and databases. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. **Anticipated salary range:** $67,500 - $96,400 **Bonus eligible:** No **Benefits:** Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being. + Medical, dental and vision coverage + Paid time off plan + Health savings account (HSA) + 401k savings plan + Access to wages before pay day with myFlexPay + Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) + Short- and long-term disability coverage + Work-Life resources + Paid parental leave + Healthy lifestyle programs **Application window anticipated to close:** 9/8/25 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.
