We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated **Supplier Quality professional** with strong knowledge of **AS9100 and AS9102 standards** to join our dynamic **First Article Inspection (FAI) Center of Excellence** team in Cedar Rapids, IA.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the successful execution of First Article Inspections by managing and reviewing product FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports), ensuring timely processing, accurate documentation, and seamless communication across departments. You will provide essential administrative support, coordinate shifting priorities, manage status reports, and serve as a liaison between supplier quality, engineering, operations, and program teams.
This is an on-site position located in Cedar Rapids, IA. The candidate must live in commutable distance to our Cedar Rapids site.
**What You Will Do**
+ Review and manage First Article Inspections (FAI) with AS9102 and internal standards.
+ Review engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to ensure that all requirements are met.
+ Collaborate closely with suppliers to identify, address, and resolve any issues found in their First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) from initiation through completion.
+ Run and update status reports, ensuring timely distribution to key stakeholders.
+ Monitor and support open action items (ARs) and escalate as needed. Make updates as necessary.
+ Assist in training and providing guidance to other team members regarding FAI procedures and best practices.
+ Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align priorities and maintain workflow efficiency.
+ Continuously improve the FAI process by identifying areas for efficiency improvements.
+ Respond to urgent and priority items accordingly.
+ Knowledge of special process assessments and audits, including but not limited to NDT, heat treating, welding, brazing, plating, and chemical processing specifications.
+ Assist the team with coordination and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
+ Maintain distribution inboxes, assist with portal resets, and support team communications during critical process phases.
+ Document and maintain meeting minutes, track action items, and ensure follow-up.
+ Support deployment of digital solutions and automated data analytics to achieve alignment and improved user experiences.
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience **or** an Advanced Degree in a related field
+ Proven experience in quality control, inspection, or related fields.
+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ Knowledge of First Article Inspection requirements (AS9102, PPAP, etc.).
+ Strong understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
+ Proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
+ Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
+ Ability to analyze and interpret data, making sound decisions based on findings.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with different teams effectively.
+ Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and ERP systems is a plus.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
