Sr Analyst, Global Trade Compliance
A Day in Your Life at MKS: MKS Instruments is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Global Trade Compliance, reporting to the Sr. Director, Global Trade Compliance. As a Sr. Specialist, Global Trade Compliance, you will be a key member of the corporate legal compliance team supporting enterprise-wide operational and enhancement compliance strategies. You will manage the U.S. export licensing workstream, mitigate escape risk, manage potential issues through internal inquiries and/or investigations. You Will Make an Impact By: Facilitating the corporate U.S. export licensing program and participating in the development of export licensing strategies. + Drafting and managing U.S. export licenses consistent with U.S. regulations, policies, and guidelines, primarily the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and relevant external (e.g., SNAP-R) and internal (e.g., Oracle, e2open) systems. + Supporting licensing process optimization in U.S. and non-U.S. jurisdictions. + Providing guidance to business unit personnel on U.S. export licensing requirements, applicability of exceptions and exemptions, and potential issues associated with proposed business activity. Skills You Bring: + Bachelor’s degree required. + 5+ years experience with U.S. export control laws. + Ability to distill complex regulatory issues and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. + Experience working in a corporate environment, preferably in an international context. + Project management skills are ideal. + Able to analyze and define processes and/or written procedures, excellent written and verbal communications skills and demonstrated attention to detail. + Ability to multi-task and handle shifting priorities. + Consensus-builder that can work independently and collaboratively in groups. + Ability to use evaluation and judgement to determine the correct course of action. + Thoughtful and principled decision-making skills.
