We are seeking a Sr AI Advisor, a leader to build and grow Jacobs’ AI Advisory practice, helping our clients navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape with trusted, domain-aligned expertise. You will be responsible for leading projects, shaping service offerings, and supporting sales opportunities, while ensuring AI adoption is responsible, practical, and impactful. This role is ideal for a leader who can combine strategic vision with hands-on delivery and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and grow our AI Consulting and Advisory practice, including pipeline development, project delivery, and staff development
* Work with and grow AI staff.
* Define and evolve the practice’s vision, operating model, and service portfolio (AI strategy, governance, ethics, readiness, and adoption frameworks).
* Partner with clients to establish responsible AI adoption strategies — policy, governance, prioritization, and ROI-based use case development.
* Translate complex AI and data concepts into actionable business strategies for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Lead and oversee AI maturity assessments, roadmaps, risk evaluations, and use case prioritization efforts.
* Provide subject matter expertise on AI governance, risk, and ethics in client engagements, industry forums, and internal initiatives.
* Support development of AI initiatives, solutions and tools, ensuring alignment with best practices and client-facing offerings.
* Collaborate with sales and business development teams to scope opportunities, craft proposals, and serve as SME in client pursuits.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Public Policy, Law, Business, or related field.
* 7+ years of experience in technology strategy, governance, or policy with a focus on AI, data, or emerging technologies.
* Proven track record of developing and implementing governance, policy, or AI adoption frameworks in complex organizations.
* Strong understanding of AI ethics, regulatory trends, risk management, and responsible AI principles (fairness, transparency, accountability).
* Ability to bridge technical and business domains, simplifying complex topics into clear implications and strategies.
* Prior experience in the AEC industry or adjacent industries preferred.
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills; comfortable working independently and in client-facing roles
Preferred Experience:
Exposure to Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Data Science methods.
Familiarity with Palantir Foundry, Azure AI Foundry, and enterprise AI deployment platforms.
Knowledge of LLM-related techniques (prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, fine-tuning).
Experience with digital transformation, change management, or AI adoption at scale.
Understanding of procurement and compliance processes in government or regulated industries.
