As a Sr Advanced Test Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in leading and overseeing the development and execution of test strategies and plans. You will design and implement test methodologies and procedures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and specifications. Your expertise in analyzing test results and providing recommendations for product improvements will be crucial. Additionally, you will mentor and provide technical guidance to test engineers.

You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Mississauga, ON location on a Hybrid work schedule.

\n

 

\n

Design: Be part of a team that designs, modifies, and implements test equipment solutions for Qualification to DO-160. You will execute development and qualification test, investigate, and analyze issues to root cause and propose fixes, implement change, and verify & validate the final solution.

\n

Lab: You will maintain the Qualification Lab and its equipment in readiness, follow process, setup and execute test, and provide support to a cross functional product team through the Development and Qualification cycle.

\n

As Point of Contact with the Product Group you will present Test Data and findings and participate in trouble shooting activities with the team.

\n

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP security Clearance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

\nMaintain Qualification Lab and equipment to support Product GroupSetup and Execute EMI & PQ Development and Qualification TestsCreate Qualification Data Packages to support Test ReportsParticipate in Test Build Design including procurement & working with vendors.Test Build Verification and ValidationAs Internal Customer’s Point of Contact, provide concise presentation of Test Data and Findings at regular meetings.Develop and maintain new lab processes.Develop additional lab capability.Support multi skilling/training of others.Support test estimates and scheduling.

YOU MUST HAVE

\n\nBachelor’s degree in engineering\nMinimum 6 years of experience directly related in Electromagnetic Effects testing, standards, and specifications.\n\n

\n\nSoftware Experience with EMC32, TILE and Nexio Software\nTest Equipment Experience with EMI Receivers, Spectrum Analyzers, RF Amplifiers, Signal generators, antennas, and oscilloscopes.\nWorking Experience of EMI and PQ Test applying RTCA DO-160, ABD0100.1.2, ABD0100.1.8.1, D6-16050-4 & MIL-STD-461\nWorking Experience of EMI, Environmental and Power Quality Test\nAbility to travel as needed.\n\n
