Description Are you an experienced accounting detail oriented seeking a dynamic, contract opportunity? Robert Half is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to support our client in Springfield, MA. Key Responsibilities Manage month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and assist in audits and reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize accounting processes and implement improvements. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making. Provide oversight on tax filings and regulatory compliance efforts. Analyze financial data to generate insights and support management presentations. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA highly preferred. Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience, including exposure to month-end close and financial reporting. Strong knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data modeling). Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
