At Dematic, we are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and expand the capabilities of our Commissioning Team with a strong focus on life-cycle engineering. This role is critical in driving excellence from design through to testing, ensuring technical alignment, resource management, and project delivery.

In the role of Senior Engineering Manager, you will guide a diverse, multi-functional team to achieve key achievements in project performance. You will lead efforts in skill development, technical coaching, and resource alignment, while promoting standardization and quality across all phases of project execution.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This is What You Will do in This Role:

Lead efforts to expand team commissioning expertise towards a life-cycle engineering perspective; including, but not limited to design, drawings, order entry, configuration, visualization, and testing.Ability to partner with remote team members to supervise progress, success, and gaps in personal and project performance.Ability to identify, align and handle skills and develop target goals.Ensure compliance with local and supported authorities for visa management.Maintain schedule for individual contributors for the lead team, while coordinating with a large team to ensure level-loading of team members.Leading scope, budget, and schedules per SoW request.Build multi-functional partnerships with regional managers to maintain consistency and standards.Project support and initiative to push and support high priority demands; including technical support and training as needed.Understand the scope of technical responsibility to support team growth and focus.Continuous monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of team status.Assigns the appropriate technical resources to projects.Ensuring consistency to standard work and quality processes.Participate in multi-functional technical reviews to ensure alignment of technical specifications and customer requirements.Participates in design review with sales and solution development for a project quotation.Reviews solutions development quotes for technical and cost accuracy.Implements effective engineering methods and provides technical mentorship and acts as a resource for engineers.Workload balancing and forecasts.Working multi-functionally with other teams (all Project Execution disc).Skills gap assessment - looking across multiple projects (could also be Director) - look across a program. - Responsible for approving project schedules and holding teams accountable, reviewing, reject & offer solutions.Working with internal partners to proactively clear potential project delivery roadblocks.Issue resolution or conflict resolution.Ensuring the project is going through quality gates/process consistency.Maintain safety & compliance standards and communication.

What We are Looking for:

Minimum of 6 years of successful experience in a directly related engineering or technical leadership role.Validated experience leading teams of managers, with a proven record to guide, develop, and align leadership teams towards shared goals and performance standards.Strong leadership capabilities, including mentoring, coaching, and influencing across multiple levels of the organization.Outstanding partnership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate in a multi-functional and multicultural environment.Outstanding analytical thinking, interpersonal abilities, and time management skills to get results across sophisticated and concurrent projects.Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project), with a validated understanding of project planning tools.Comfortable working both independently and in hybrid (remote/office) environments, with experience leading distributed teams.Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% as required for site visits, cross-site coordination, training, and business alignment.American visa and passport is required
