Summary
Job Summary:
The Radiation Therapist Supervisor supervises the day-to-day functions and activities of the Radiation Therapy department staff including lead and staff therapist to ensure efficient and effective operations and quality patient care. The Radiation Therapist Supervisor may perform a variety of clinical procedures including, but not limited to, treatment delivery and performing simulation procedures. The Radiation Therapist Supervisors coordinate to ensure standards and policies are consistent amongst all locations.
Essential functions:
Oversees lead therapist(s) and staff therapist(s), provides support and guidance for technical billing accuracy, responds to technical issues, ensures proper staffing levels to safely treat patients ensures appropriate inventory supplies, triages patient phone calls, provides faculty with information related to patient treatment. Supports manager with team member evaluations and makes recommendations regarding performance issues and recruitment and selection of new technical staff. Assists manager with important technical communication and administrative support as needed. Serves as a role model and mentor to staff therapist.

5 years previous experience as a lead therapist or therapy supervisor is required.
