Spreader Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the company in meeting its production goals by supervising all activities of assigned employees in the plywood manufacturing process; ensures a safe and efficient work environment by communicating and managing Company established quality, production, safety and human resource policies. SHIFT: Must be willing to work any available shift, day, swing, graveyard or rotate. MAJOR TASKS: + Supervises the plywood spreader process while managing staff, equipment and materials to achieve the highest safety, quality and production levels. + Maintains quality control standards to maximize company profitability and achieve customer satisfaction. + Conducts individual meetings and leads crew meetings to communicate pertinent information to employees. + Completes administrative paperwork and reporting related to production reports, scheduling, personnel actions, payroll and safety. + Responsible for supporting and enforcing company policies and procedures. + Performs other duties as assigned. SKILL REQUIREMENTS: + A BA/BS degree in business administration, production management or related field preferred, but not required. + Two to four years of supervisory experience, preferably in wood products or other manufacturing environment. + Strong written and oral communication skills. + Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions and concerns. + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. + Leadership and motivational skills that allow candidates to achieve productivity, quality and safety goals. + Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail, and ability to learn and use company specific software.
