The Sports/Reporter/MMJ will shoot and edit video for both sportscasts and newscasts as directed.  The ideal candidate will be well-versed in videography, editing and able to report for sports and news as necessary for television, streaming platforms and digital properties.  The position will involve some in-studio sports anchoring opportunities, but it is primarily a videographer and reporter position.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Gathering video for sportscasts, newscasts and the website. This will include shooting highlights of local games, producing reporter features on athletes in our area, editing highlights or shooting or reporting news for the nightside newscasts.Ensuring that all sports content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.Writing and delivering sports and news stories in a clear and concise manner.Assisting in writing, copy editing, researching and coordinating sports programming and other content.Responding to breaking sports events and other urgent newsroom situations as required.Participates in promotional activities including public appearances.

   •   Writes stories for the website and other eMedia platforms.

Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Annual Salary: $31,824.00 commensurate with experience
