JOB OVERVIEW
The Sports Marketing Specialist at Giro Sport Design will be instrumental in supporting our global athlete and ambassador programs across both cycling and snow sports. This role focuses on the execution of strategic athlete initiatives, product seeding, event support, and content development. The ideal candidate is passionate about outdoor sports, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

This position reports to Emily Watts, Global Sports Marketing Director, based out of our Irvine, California headquarters.
As the Sports Marketing Specialist, you will have an opportunity to:
Athlete Support & Roster ManagementSupport the day-to-day needs of Giro’s global athlete and ambassador rosters in cycling and snow, including onboarding, product fulfillment, and communication.Product Seeding & Rider Services
Coordinate athlete product deliveries and ensure timely support for seasonal launches, custom gear requests, and race/event needs. Address and resolve any issues or concerns athletes may have in relation to products and sponsorship. Assist in managing the graphic design process across our teams and athletes. Event Support
Represent Giro at key global and domestic events - delivering best-in-class athlete service and brand representation.Content & Campaign Integration
Assist with planning and execution of athlete-driven content initiatives, ensuring alignment with global marketing calendars and seasonal brand campaigns.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Product, Brand, Merchandising, Sales, and Customer Service teams to ensure product deliveries to athlete and teams. Assist R&D process as it relates to athlete feedback, ensuring comprehensive tracking and communication with product teams to inform product development and storytelling.Administrative Duties
Maintain updated athlete databases and product tracking systems. Provide reporting and recaps for internal stakeholders.
You have:
2-3 years of experience in sports marketing, athlete management, ore event coordination – ideally in the outdoor, cycling, or snow sports industries.Passion for snow and cycling culture and familiarity with the global athlete landscape in both categories.Highly organized and detailed oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and travel 20 – 30% of the time, including weekends and holidays.Proficiency in in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace; experience with Adobe Creative Suite or project management tools is a plus.Minimum Education Required

1-3Pay Range:
Annual Salary: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
