We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), internally referred to as our Speech Therapist or Speech-Language Therapist. As our Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you are responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

Hours: 8-hour shift - Weekday and Weekend hours available
Location: Dallas Medical Center – Farmers Branch- TX
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
Conduct communication assessments and provide evidence-based therapy for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in acute and medically complex settings Provide cognitive-communication therapy targeting attention, memory, executive function, and problem-solving in patients with neurological conditions Educate patients and caregivers on safe swallowing, communication strategies, and appropriate use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems to support functional outcomes Treat patients across ICU, Inpatient Rehab, NICU, and Pediatrics, addressing feeding, swallowing, congenital, critical care and other communication needs Enhance quality of life and safety by supporting safe oral intake, restoring communication, and promoting cognitive-linguistic recovery QualificationsBefore we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
Graduate of an accredited college or university with Bachelor's in speech therapy required.Licensed by the State in Speech-Language Pathology.Current BLS for healthcare provider's certification upon hire and maintain current.Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
At least one year of experience in a hospital settingAdditional Qualifications That Are a Plus:
MS degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.#
