Speech Pathologist I, Speech and Audiology - OTO (Onsite)

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in related field, Certification or eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and Licensure or eligible for Speech Pathology License from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

 

 

Job Summary:

To provide professional skills in the comprehensive evaluation of patients with speech and language impairments, and to provide habilitative and rehabilitative treatment services.



Job Duties:

Administers and interprets routine and complex tests on adults with speech and language and cognitively impaired patients Plans, conducts, and directs rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communication, voice, cognition and swallowing disorders Documents findings, rehabilitative techniques, plan of care and patient progress in electronic medical record Instructs and demonstrates testing procedures and treatments to medical students and residents Senior level staff may also supervises clinical work of support personnel, graduate students and clinical fellows

Preferred Qualifications:

Texas Speech Pathology License, Certificate of Clinical Competence English - bilingual Spanish is helpful, but not required Prior experience in adult outpatient care and medically related clinic. Experience with adult neurogenic population and swallowing disorders

 

 

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience.
