As a Speech Pathologist at MercyOne, you will provide quality care to a variety of patients within Genesis Health System in a caring, professional and efficient manner. These settings may include inpatient, outpatient, long term care, home health care and /or outreach services. To provide the appropriate principles, methods and procedures for the identification, measurement, testing, prediction, habilitation, rehabilitation and modification related to communication development, and disorders or disabilities of speech, language, voice, swallowing, cognitive and other related disorders in the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. To complete necessary documentation in an accurate and timely manner. To supervise clinical interns in and effective and professional manner and to supervise supportive staff effectively as required by Iowa and Illinois professional practice acts.
Position Title: Speech Pathologist
Department: Acute Therapies
Schedule:
PRN, minimum requirement of 24 hours per month.
General Requirements:
Licensure/Registration: Licensed in Iowa. If licensed in another state, must obtain licensure within 90 days. CCCs or working toward such in the CFY
Training Preferred: Licensed in Illinois
Special Training: Basic Life Support, Safety Training
