Speech Pathologist, Casual

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats a variety of communication/swallowing disorders but is not limited to aphasia, voice, speech/language, closed head injury deficits (cognitive, linguistic, memory, attention), fluency (including stuttering), aural rehabilitation, non-verbal (augmentative communication), oral and pharyngeal stage of swallowing.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Prepares diagnostic and evaluative reports with recommendations for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology services.
+ Maintains compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies' requirements (OSHA, TJC, CMS) and practitioner requirements (CEUs, licenses, certifications).
+ Provides diagnostic evaluative services for clients referred for Speech-Language Pathology.
+ Delivers appropriate speech pathology treatments to clients.
+ Actively participates in staff meetings, development programs, and in-service education.
+ Adheres to organizational policies, including Corporate Compliance Program, Code of Conduct, and HIPAA regulations.
+ Maintains confidentiality and accurate progress notes and professional records.
+ Provides excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
+ Coordinates evaluation, scheduling, and treatment programs for clients.
+ Pursues professional growth, presents educational programs, and participates in community education.
+ Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology with specific course work and clinical practice in all previously mentioned areas within the scope of practice is required.
+ Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
**Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ Speech Pathologist
+ Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
