Speech Pathologist, Acute Care - Full Time (St. Mary)
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Speech Pathologist to join our team! Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday The Speech Pathologist is responsible for organizing and supervising all the functions of the Speech/Language Pathology Department and coordinating the service within the hospital continuum. Assesses, plans and implements the delivery of care. This professional speech language pathologist also assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the health care team. ​ + Provides supervision for Physical Therapy Assistants, PMR technicians, students and volunteers as required. + Adheres to the code of ethics of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Practice Act of the Commonwealth of PA. + Performs and interprets modified barium swallow studies according to policy. + Performs and interprets blue dye testing according to policy (i.e. tracheotomy and ventilator. + Recommends specific safe swallowing precautions. + Collaborates with patient/significant others when establishing goals and treatment plan. + Participates in continuing education to stay abreast of new research and to fulfill credentialing requirement. + Performs other duties as assigned. **Position Requirements** **:** + Bachelor's Degree + Current State Speech and Language Pathologist license + BLS - issued by the American Heart Association + ASHA + FEES Credentialing Preferred **What We Offer:** + Competitive Salary + Retirement Savings Program + Free Parking + And more! **Our Commitment** Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
