Speech Language Pathologist - Central Montana Medical Center, Lewiston, MT - copy Regional Affiliate (CENTRAL MONTANA MEDICAL CENTER) req10055 Shift: Day Employment Status: Full-Time (.75 or greater) Hours per Pay Period: (Non-Exempt) Speech Language Pathologist POSITION SUMMARY: · Evaluates patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic techniques for rehabilitation of speech, language, hearing, and oral motor disorders. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES: (Must be able to perform with or without accommodation) · Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. · Examines, tests, diagnoses and administers remedial treatments for patients with speech language, swallowing disorders. · Performs evaluations with special attention to receptive and expressive language skills, speech fluency, vocal and oral motor competence, articulation and auditory skills, and swallowing function. · Develops appointment schedules to have the maximum feasible therapeutic impact on the patient. · Maintains active and support communication with the patient regarding progress, problems, home programs and other issues related to the therapeutic process. · Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment. · Attends patient care staffing, conferences and other related meetings. · Performs internal and external public education functions which may include periodic in-service presentations. · Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, and quality assurance, safety. · Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings. · Attends meetings as required. · Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
