Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)

Location: In-Person Only
Start Date: August 25, 2025
Contract Duration: 40 Weeks
Work Hours: 37.5 Hours/Week

Position Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) supports licensed Speech Language Pathologists in delivering high-quality speech and language services. This role involves clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related activities, all performed under the supervision and direction of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and/or physician.

Key Responsibilities Assist in implementing speech and language therapy plans as directed by the supervising SLP Conduct therapy sessions with individuals or groups Document patient progress and maintain accurate records Support educational and clinical activities within the scope of practice Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams Minimum Requirements Associate’s degree from an SLPA program or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience Current SLPA certification or licensure in the state of practice Adherence to professional standards of practice One (1) year of prior SLPA experience preferred
