**Responsibilities***
+ Evaluation and management of adults with communication and swallowing disorders in an ambulatory care setting
+ Documentation of clinical findings, adhering to regulatory agency and insurance requirements
+ Education of patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders
**Required Qualifications***
+ A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
+ Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of Michigan.
+ A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) awarded by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to initiate a Clinical Fellowship.
+ This classification requires Primary Source Verification.
**Desired Qualifications***
+ Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
+ Ability to work effectively with medical and allied health professionals within an interdisciplinary team.

**Union Affiliation**
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
**Background Screening**
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
