Job Details Job ID: 5310965 Job Description Description: Special Ed Instructional Assistant – Preschool Classroom Qualifications: + Para-educator License with early childhood endorsement or CDA or 2 year Degree or higher preferred + Ability to work with challenging students + Be able to work with students academically and socially + Able to attend to personal hygiene of students + Assist in implementing the preschool curriculum and assessment + Good communication skills/Interpersonal skills + Responsible for documentation and record-keeping + Positive, caring, and patient individuals preferred + Enjoys working with students with behavior challenges + Knowledge and experience in behavior modification program preferred + Ability to redirect students towards positive behaviors + If required able to communicate with student's case manager, medical providers, and caregivers + Ability to lift 50 pounds Under the Every Student Succeeds Act prior to starting, you must have one of the following: · Two years of study at an institution of higher education; or · Associate degree or higher; or · Obtain voluntary certification through the Board of Educational Examiners(Paraeducator Certification); or · Successful completion of ACT WorkKeys® (NCRC Assessment). This series of tests measures foundational and soft skills and offers specialized assessments to target institutional needs. Successful completion of ACT WorkKeys® assessments in Applied Mathematics, Locating Information and Reading for Information can lead to earning ACT's National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC), a portable credential earned by more than 2.3 million people across the United States.
