Description + The Specimen processor will receive samples, open boxes, organize workspace. + Will enter all patient demographic and testing information into LIS system, label all samples for testing, and run automated aliquoting equipment. + Check samples and requisition forms for adequacy and flag any discrepancies or issues. + Perform pipetting and handling of patient blood samples. + Run aliquoting equipment. + Perform Sample Prep. + Patient data entry into LIS system. + Running automated equipment and incubators. + Ensure accurate labeling of patient samples. + Help with the organizing and restocking of all lab supplies. + Other duties as assigned. Qualifications + High School diploma or GED. + Ability to accurately follow and remember written instructions. + Ability to type 45 WPM, (Computer literacy and typing accuracy). + Ability to communicate and work effectively with a team. + Ability to change and move in a fast-paced environment. + Comply with all safety guidelines. + Apply learned concepts to troubleshoot novel situations. + Initiative to prioritize patient care always. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
