Job Title: Specimen Accessioner I Job Description The Accessioner I plays a crucial role in processing laboratory samples, working primarily with blood specimens. This position requires collaboration with other laboratory professionals to ensure accurate cataloging and analysis of patient specimens, aiding in diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities + Receive and triage all specimens for clinical testing. + Manage clinical information within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) database. + Perform internal audits of clinical charts. + Collaborate with various departments to ensure testing accuracy. Essential Skills + 0-2 years of work experience. + AS or BS degree in biological sciences preferred. + Attention to accuracy and deadlines. + Ability to work well independently and within a team. + Proficient in laboratory processing, accessioning, and data entry. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma or equivalent. + Previous medical or production experience is a plus. + Comfortable handling biological specimens. + Ability to accurately identify specimens. + Proficient in MS Office. + Ability to lift up to 30lbs. + High level of attention to detail. Work Environment The work schedule is Tuesday to Saturday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. The dress code includes solid colored scrubs or jeans and a plain t-shirt, comfortable closed-toed shoes, and a mask. A lab coat will be provided. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
