Description We are currently seeking a Sr. Software Engineer with 7+ years Java development experience to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in modernizing our transaction-based applications, working hands-on with Kafka, MongoDB, and Microsoft Co-Pilot. + Participate in Scrum ceremonies, pick up user stories, and deliver high-quality code. + Assist in design and architecture, ensuring seamless integration and modernization of applications. + Work on modernizing our credit card rewards and benefits platform, handling approximately 15 million transactions daily. + Implement new code while maintaining legacy systems, focusing on greenfield development. + Utilize Kafka for event streaming and MongoDB for data management. + Prepare for upcoming modernization projects in 2025, transitioning from proprietary cloud solutions to AWS. Skills & Qualifications + 7+ years of software development experience with Java + Proficiency in Java, SpringBoot, Kafka, and MongoDB. + Strong background in modernizing Java applications in high-volume environments. + Experience with cloud deployment methods and CI/CD processes. + Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and API integrations. + Ability to deliver 8-10 user story points per sprint after initial ramp-up period. + Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
