Provide drafting support to designated profit center, working under the direction of engineers and project managers. The Structural CAD Technician will prepare their work product for review by structural/specialty engineers or supervisor. Teamwork and solid client relationships are keys to success as a Structural CAD Technician in our Specialty Engineering department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Pick up redlines marked up by engineer. 2. Setup simple projects and some moderate projects. 3. Familiarize self with standard details. 4. Organize details on drawings. 5. Coordinate detail and plan section numbers. 6. Select appropriate standard details for simple projects. 7. Determine where to cut sections and select standard sections. 8. Create non-standard sections with input from engineers. 9. Double check your own work for accuracy. 10. All work is to be reviewed. 11. Study comments provided to you and incorporate them into future projects. 12. Review the weekly schedule and inform team leader if you think you have been under or over scheduled. 13. Produce or coordinate complete contract documents for simple and some moderate projects. 14. Deliver projects within established time periods. 15. Other duties as assigned. **Job Requirements:** EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Must have 1-3 years of CAD experience in general building design with a general understanding of construction drawings.
