Barnardo's Somerset Phoenix Project – Specialist Trauma Recovery Practitioner

The Somerset Phoenix Project provides specialist, trauma-informed support to children, young people and their families who have been affected by childhood sexual abuse (CSA) .

We provide Somerset professionals with support,  training, and consultation to empower them to work alongside children and young people affected by CSA. We also provide trauma-informed advice, support and guidance on a one-to-one basis to non-abusing parents & carers. 

Are you skilled in Trauma-informed practice? Are you able to build professional relationships with children & young people? Do you have experience of working with families affected by childhood trauma and abuse? Are you able to work independently but also as part of a cohesive, well-established team? Are you passionate about empowering other professionals to confidently work alongside traumatised children and young people in their recovery journey?

We are looking for a practitioner with experience of effective partnership working who is able to keep children and young people central to their planning and decision making.  

Are you confident and able to share your skills and experience with others by delivering virtual and in-person training?
