Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday | 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Summary:

The Patient Access Representative supports efficient patient flow from entry to destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. This role is responsible for collecting and verifying financial and demographic information to ensure accurate records, optimal reimbursement, and positive clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule appointments and interview patients for medical and insurance information

Explain departmental and hospital charges and policies

Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems

Collect necessary payments

Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately

Qualifications:

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA

1–2 years of experience in a healthcare setting

Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding

Ability to interpret insurance information

Knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
