Job Description

Context

The purpose of the Marketing Business is to sustainably maximise cash flows from the marketing of Anglo American products and services. In support of this, we have set ourselves a target to deliver a considerable uplift in value.

As a result of the changing environment in commodity markets, Anglo American has centralised its marketing & sales activities in one Marketing Business in order to enhance commercial capabilities and extract full value of the commercial value chain. With the centralisation new ways of working, efficient processes and procedures, standardised IM systems as well as a new organisational model are being implemented to create a world class centralised, super-efficient, twin centred marketing function that can anticipate market developments and proactively plan sales and marketing activities with full information, visibility, and a fast, efficient decision-making process.

Purpose

Provides operational professional support to the People & Organisation team to ensure effective management and analysis of People & Organisation data for reporting purposes. Accountable for People & Organisation data integrity, the distribution of People & Organisation information and compliance with Group/ Business Unit standards.

The Work – Key Outputs and Accountabilities

Operational

Provides professional operational support to the P&O team across a range of P&O activities, including the coordination of P&O administration, creating and maintaining appropriate data bases. Ensures all aspects of work are delivered in a timely manner, to the required quality standards, and in line with Group and Business Unit guidelines.Employee Life Cycle Administration: Provide effective onboarding, ongoing and offboarding support.Ensures all personnel records are updated, data is securely, accurately and effectively stored, including administers, updates and maintains effective storage of P&O related data in particular employees’ personnel files (both physical and electronic versions).Ensure timely & accurate updates of employee data on Success Factor for Marketing including data clean-up as required.Provides data input to payroll processes and manages the P&O related invoices and ensures their correct approvals are undertaken in a timely manner.Conducts the analysis, manipulation and interpretation of P&O data extracted from Systems and the effective and efficient delivery of data in form of standard and ad hoc reporting, presentations, figures and metrics.Responsible for the implementation/ changes of new and existing P&O policies and procedures.

Process Management

Responsible for assessing and driving improvements for all People & Organisation (P&O) Operations processes that impact the employee lifecycle.Engage with P&O Business Partners, P&O CoEs, and cross functional teams in understanding as-is P&O Processes, identifying and evaluating ways to improve and implement new business processes to deliver optimal efficiency locally, while maintaining Group and Business Unit consistency, and alignment to best practices.Translate policy intent and directions into workable operational solutions on the P&O platform, and propose new work processes to ensure the most effective and efficient method for implementation.Leverage data and insights from various tools and share these with relevant stakeholders to help make data driven P&O Processes.

Other Responsibilities

Be a dependable resource and provides professional support to the People & Organization (P&O) team in the provision of operational support across a range of P&O activities.Partner the team in the Marketing roll-out of P&O information systems.Manage and support on urgent issue escalations between GSS support team and People & Organization Team.Support Team Lead in reviewing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and monitoring the delivery of services within agreed SLAs.Support Team Lead in ensuring GSS resources are utilized effectively. Participate and support of key projects & initiatives.Assist in ad hoc tasks/projects which might be assigned from time to time.

Compliance 

Adherence to all Anglo American Group and Marketing policies and procedures, as well as observing proper standards of conduct relating to the role.Comply with Anglo American Security and Operating Standards

Qualifications

Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Human Resources or relevant disciplines

Technical Knowledge

SAP or similar ERP systems knowledgeMS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)Employment legislations and P&O best practice in Singapore & China
