Job Introduction:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced eMotor Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in the automotive industry. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of electric motor systems for advanced automotive applications. Your expertise in mechanical design and analysis will be crucial in driving the performance, efficiency, and reliability of our electric vehicle technology.

Major Responsibilities:

Generation of innovative Production Engineering solutions and development of these until they are ready for series production

Support the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing processes for Electric Motor components.

Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies such as hairpin winding, High speed motors into production lines.

Collaborate with R&D and product engineering teams to industrialize next-gen motor designs.

Support supplier development and process validation for outsourced components.

Development of component designs suitable for production (Design to Manufacture)

Carrying out production trials and procuring the necessary prototypes, including the development of testable trial samples.

Calculation of process and product costs with reference to innovative manufacturing technologies

Identifying technology partners and establishing the contractual basis for cooperation.

Supporting pre-series and series development projects, product groups or production sites as a technical expert.

Proficient in using 3D CAD software, preferably CATIA V5

Benchmark analyses of eMotor

Preparation of relevant information for customer meetings (internal customers and OEM's) as well as support of presentations, seminars, technology workshops or exhibitions.

Knowledge and Education:


Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.


Work Experience:


4 years’ experience in Mechanical Design of eMotor for automotive applications

Skills and Competencies:

Experience in component development (preferably in the Drivetrain sector)

Completed technical studies (Master or Bachelor´s degree), with focus on Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics

Solid knowledge of processes and technologies in the manufacture of eMotor and drivetrain.

Experience in process planning

Professional experience in project management is an advantage

Understanding of the requirements of automotive engineering, as well as knowledge of relevant standards is an advantage

Very good English skills (presentation and communication skills), German skills advantageous

Good MS Office skills

Team player, high goal focus and assertiveness
