General Requirements:
Associates degree in Business Administration or related field. Three years of experience compiling and maintaining records, assessing data details, inventory tracking, general auditing of records, or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Performs advanced specialist duties for Facilities Planning and Construction.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Assists the Campus Space Planner by maintaining an accurate inventory of all Sam Houston State University space and properties including but not limited to: site records of parking lots, sports fields, misc. non building areas and off campus sites for student teaching, clinicals and student actives. Enters and maintains accurate building and room database with required information as outlined in the specific coding structure of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board ( THECB ). Performs building audits, including measuring rooms, photographing facilities, interacting with space users and verifying signage. Prepares reports, charts, and presentations, attends meetings in the absence of the Campus Space Planner. Scans and files copies of property deeds, easements and agreements in the departments property files. Performs other related duties as assigned.
